My life after my 93 birthday

Jim in Fire gear I retired in 1995 and a year later became a volunteer firefighter with the German Township Volunteer Fire Department in northern Vanderburgh County.  I served as a firefighter and first responder. Because the fire department is in a bedroom community most of the daytime calls were made by retires, shift workers or students.
We trained every Monday night from 6:30pm until we finished which sometimes was after 10pm. I enjoyed the comradeship and even though I was the oldest person on the department they did not cut me any slack. In 2012 I retired from active duty but still help out with non-emergency things.
Some pictures of me in action!
