A year after Eva died I decided to take my very limited German language skills and go to Berlin all by myself. Since I was not sure if I could do it all by myself, I stayed with Martin and Silke Kabus, Eva's nephew and his wife, in a small town west of Berlin called Dallgow-Doeberitz. They had bought their house in this former East Germany. A little more history of the area, in 1930 the Olympic equestrian events were held here. Parts of the residences are still around. There are a number of horse farms and hospitals in the area also.
Here are some pictures from 2016 Berlin trip.
One of the longest trips during my stay with Martin and Silke in Dallgow-Doeberitz was to Brandenburg am der Havel with Silke as my guide.
