The morning after the incident, the traffic was
still not allowed, but pedestrians were allowed.
This caused some unusual things like people
standing at cross walks and like good Germans
waited for the walk sign to appear before crossing.
The Breitscheid Platz was almost deserted. On
other mornings there would be people sitting or
walking through. One danger of walking through
here on normal days was was watching out for
electric scooters. They would come flying by at
break neck speeds.
That building is the replacement church for the one that is bombed out from the war and is saved as a memorial of the war.
