On the day of the accident, we continued our bus ride out to Koenigsallee and got to see the apartment that Omi and Opa lived in. The complex did not look as well taken care of as when they lived there. Weeds were growing where there had been flowers before. (Sorry did not take picture of the area) After we walked around we took the bus back to our hotel. When we were about 3 or 4 stops from our destination we noticed the traffic was backed up. We decided to get off and walk the rest of the way. Here is what we saw, traffic was being redirected from Kudamm to cross streets.
We still did not know what had happened.
