Aboard on of Berlin articulated busses. While we were in Berlin we got to ride in these busses, trams, Ubahn (underground subway), Sbahn( above ground) and Regional trains. We learned the hard way how to ride the all of these. We went to a place via sbahn and had no trouble, but when we returned we did not pay attention to the end station, so instead of going 5 stations and getting off we ended up going for something like 20 stations. An hour trip out and an hour back. Why we did not get off as soon as we realized we were going the wrong way I have no idea. We did get to see some of the country side. On our trip back to the staion we started from we were asked for tickets by plain-clothes conductors. There are no gates at the stations. You can board without a ticket, but the fine if caught is about 60 Euros. Oh, we did not ride a double decker bus, they do have a few of these. We also rode in a taxi to and from the airport. And we WALKED.
